SHORT HISTORY OF AQUACULTURE ID

Aquaculture ID started as a branch of Fleuren & Nooijen BV. The latter started in 1986 with a small hatchery for African catfish and has developed into a company designing and constructing aquaculture systems for a wide range of species. Using its extensive fish farming experience and knowledge, Fleuren & Nooijen became a Dutch a market leader helping people achieve their aquaculture goals.

Fleuren & Nooijen previously worked with both commercial fish farmers as well as academic researchers from universities and institutes. Both customer groups do work with fish in our systems, but each with different goals and specific needs. In order to improve our service to the separate customer groups, it was decided that specific business units for each group would be established. This led to the creation of Aquaculture ID and ZEBCARE in 2020.

COMMERCIAL AQUACULTURE

Aquaculture ID specifically focuses on commercial aquaculture. Aquaculture is our identity; we farmed African catfish fingerling for over 30 years and from that background we design and construct complete and innovative fish farms for a large number of fish species for our customers. Each project starts with an idea from the customer, and using our innovative designs, we endeavour to turn each aquaculture project into a successful one.
